2HEX.com/careers · German Skateboard Productions Co., Guangzhou

Job Description

Solve the hard part.
Help great brands grow.

2HEX is a German custom-production company operating on-site in Guangzhou. We connect Chinese manufacturing with established US and European skateboard companies. While many suppliers pass production problems to the buyer, we own those problems, solve them, and present clear decisions. That gives our customers more time to grow and sell, and when they sell more, they buy more from us.

The best possible product. On time. With the fewest possible problems.
On-site · Guangzhou · Full-time One path, three levels

One path, three levels

Sales Manager - Growth Marketer - General Manager

These are not three separate entry-level jobs. They are levels of one operating path. Each level requires proof that the person mastered the level below it. If you cannot sell, you cannot market a small company. If you cannot market, you should not run the company.

No proven background at the required level? Start in Sales.

Who can enter above Sales?

  • Internal path: first perform and manage Sales exceptionally at 2HEX, then prove you can grow Marketing.
  • External path: a verified startup record. You mastered Sales, grew into Marketing, and helped take a company from roughly 2 people to 10-20 people. References will be checked.
  • General Manager path: you were the genuine number two or full-company operator, owning sales, marketing, operations, finances, team, and execution. General management, project management, or checking off our posted tasks is not enough by itself.

How we grow

Horizontally

Expand custom production beyond skateboarding into adjacent categories such as sport shoes and machinery, using existing knowledge and customer overlap as the bridge.

Vertically

Build exceptional own brands from our production expertise, including Lunarlight skateboard trucks, plus future griptape and wheel brands. Each world-class product also strengthens 2HEX custom production.

Open role / 01 of 3 · The problem solver

Sales Manager

Own the bridge between Western buyers and Chinese factories. Your first job is to solve problems; your second is to communicate the solution clearly. This is a phone-first position. You need confident, natural spoken English.

What you will own

  • Call customers regularly and lead live English conversations from inquiry through production and delivery.
  • Investigate factory issues, ask the follow-up questions, test options, and present a clean problem-and-solution package. Example: the truck color came out too dark. Do not forward that mess. Ask why, test, find a path, then bring the customer a finished decision.
  • Shield customers from avoidable production noise while keeping them informed about decisions that matter.
  • Translate expectations and working styles between Chinese factories and US/European buyers.
  • Qualify whether a company is a strong fit for 2HEX. We are selective. Our price is higher because we spend more time and brainpower so customers get better products and far fewer problems.
  • Own decisions, follow-up, documentation, and outcomes. Take work away from the founder. Never pass problems upward, to the factory, or back to the customer.

You are a strong match if

  • Your spoken and written English are excellent.
  • You enjoy picking up the phone. People who avoid live calls will not enjoy this role.
  • You understand US or European business culture through meaningful personal or professional exposure. Living in the US or Europe is a strong plus because our customers are Western skateboard companies running mass production.
  • You are exceptionally organized, resourceful, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable with accountability.
  • You have relevant sales, account-management, sourcing, or production experience, or you can demonstrate outstanding people and problem-solving skills.
  • You gather facts, create options, recommend a path, and finish the job.

Growth path

  • Master the customer, product, and market; then grow into Marketing.
  • Prove you can build demand and revenue; then develop toward General Manager.

Open role / 02 of 3 · Targeted growth, not noise

Growth Marketer / Growth Hacker

Turn deep customer understanding into measurable revenue growth. This is B2B growth for a focused group of high-value production customers, not broad consumer marketing.

Entry requirement

Marketing activity alone does not qualify you. Campaigns, posters, videos, or social posts, and the ability to perform our listed tasks, are not enough.

  • You performed and managed Sales exceptionally at 2HEX, then proved you understand the customer well enough to grow Marketing; or
  • You have a verified startup record where you mastered Sales, grew into Marketing, and materially helped grow a small company, for example from roughly 2 people to 10-20.

Without one of those backgrounds, apply for Sales Manager first. We will call the company and check.

What you will own

  • Research current, former, and prospective customers. Call them. Understand what drives every order.
  • Learn why customers stop reordering, win back the right accounts, reduce churn, and increase reorder frequency and account value.
  • Identify high-potential US and European skateboard companies and create thoughtful, personalized outreach. The right company should feel understood, not sprayed.
  • Improve the biweekly newsletter, SEO content, account-based campaigns, and focused outbound systems.
  • Plan useful factory and product videos, coordinate talent and editing, and prioritize quality over empty posting volume. One strong targeted video beats daily noise.
  • Help place 2HEX-owned products, including Lunarlight trucks, into more suitable skate shops.
  • Use modern AI for research, content operations, personalization, and marketing automation.

The scorecard

  • Revenue and qualified pipeline grow, not merely impressions, posts, or campaign count.
  • Current customers stay longer and buy more.
  • Lost customers either return or produce clear learning.
  • One strong new production customer in a month can be a meaningful win.

Operating principle

  • Grow the business 2HEX already has: high-service custom production for established companies.
  • Use a bootstrap mindset. Maximize impact before adding spend, tools, or headcount. Do not throw money into the wind and see what holds.
  • Do not suggest a different business. We are not hiring someone to pivot 2HEX into mass B2C.

Open role / 03 of 3 · Operator, leader, future CEO

General Manager

Turn the founder's direction into a company that grows reliably: clean sales, sharp marketing, smooth production, disciplined operations, and a small, high-performing team.

Entry requirement

This is not for someone with general-management or project-management experience who believes they can check off the tasks below. You must have mastered Sales and Marketing, and have been the genuine number two or full-company operator at a startup that grew meaningfully, for example from roughly 2 people to 10-20, or prove the same progression inside 2HEX.

Without that background, start in Sales. Sales is the hardest part of the business. Marketing is second. Only then does the whole picture belong to you.

What you will own

  • Lead Sales personally for the most important customers and keep a deep understanding of the market.
  • Manage and improve Marketing, with growth measured in customers and revenue.
  • Work closely with production leadership to keep delivery, quality, and communication organized.
  • Build a team that follows clear priorities and helps each person succeed.
  • Keep operational records, invoices, payments, and accounting inputs complete and on time.
  • Implement the owner's long-term strategy, recommend smart next moves, and own the result. The owner sets direction. You make it real.
  • Make the whole company easier to understand and run.

Simplify and automate

  • Document processes so a new employee, partner, or investor can understand and follow them.
  • Compress thousands of messy details into a small number of clear operating steps. Anyone can explain something in a thousand sentences. The right person can bring it down to one.
  • Use current AI and software automation to remove repetitive work and preserve human attention for judgment and problem solving.
  • Understand what AI can code, build, and automate across Marketing and Operations. 2HEX is heavily tech-based. Humans should be left solving problems, not trapped in small processes.
  • Add headcount deliberately. Keep the team agile, capable, fast, and profitable. A smaller team is a competitive edge.

Long-term opportunity

  • Grow into the CEO role as the owner steps further into strategic direction.
  • Proven long-term leadership and company growth may lead to participation in company ownership.

The final goal

Go all in. Build it big. Win together.

We want someone who joins full-time, brings full power, and is on fire to grow fast in the role, and to help take 2HEX from a startup into a globally respected company. Outstanding long-term contributors who push the total company strategy, not only their own tasks, can participate in a future stock-option or ownership incentive plan.

If you want a conventional stable job so you can fully focus elsewhere, we are the wrong company. We want people who want to grow something large, get wealthy together, and stay long enough to finish the journey.

The 5-10 year ambition

  • Build roughly four custom-production segments toward approximately US$100,000 monthly revenue each.
  • Develop 2-3 exceptional owned brands around each segment, targeting approximately US$5,000-20,000 monthly revenue per brand.
  • Grow horizontally into carefully selected categories such as sport shoes, machinery, and other suitable product segments.
  • Grow vertically through world-class owned products such as Lunarlight skateboard trucks, plus future griptape and wheel brands.
  • Keep a small, highly capable, AI-enabled team that enjoys working together and has the continuity to complete a long journey.

Employment framework

Time and ownership

Full-time: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Own your area, not merely your hours. Organize work so nights and weekends are normally unnecessary. If something urgent happens because of your plan or commitment, remain responsible and close it. The goal is to take work away from the founder, never push your responsibilities back upward.

Workplace and team

On-site in Guangzhou. We work together because a close, fast team is stronger. This is not a remote position and not a comfortable "just do my tasks" job. Foreign applicants compete on the same terms. We cannot provide a Chinese work visa.

Salary and upside

Target compensation is approximately 10% above the relevant central-Guangzhou market rate, calibrated to role and experience. Exceptional long-term company-building impact may lead to stock options or co-ownership incentives.

Holidays, contract, visa

Standard Chinese public holidays. For an international hire, a home-country holiday framework can be discussed. The contract is with the German company. For the right person, business invitations and practical coordination with partner factories can be discussed.

Apply for a role

Select the role first. We only ask questions for that job. Keep answers short and certain. Attach a CV if you have one.

  • On-site in Guangzhou. German-company contract. No Chinese work visa sponsorship.

Your details

Sales Manager

How you solve problems on your own, then summarize them in a short, concise message so a customer can act. How you rate your spoken English. Why you think you are the right cultural fit to sell to US American companies. A real example where you had to clear up confusion, make it concise, and get people aligned, in a group that spoke only English.

Growth Marketing Manager

The growth marketing work that is relevant to this role. What you owned, and what changed because of it. Tell the story of pushing a company from about 3 people to 10 or 20. What you did to achieve that, and how much of that success was your work.

General Manager

Founder, or the number two in a manage-all-yourself situation, while a company grew from 2 or 3 people to 10 or 20. How you achieved that growth, what you managed yourself, and how much of the success was your work. Why you no longer work there.

Other role

What you want to do here, and the proof that you can do it.
